Buxton Crescent and Spa Development Stonework and Conservation

Following on from the award winning Oxford Castle Project for the Trevor Osbourne Group Medusa Stonemasonry have been awarded the Conservation Package to the Grade 1 listed Georgian Crescent. In addition we are Designing, Manufacturing and Installing the Stone Elements to the New Bath complex buildings adjoining the rear of the crescent building.

R1 Aga Khan Building

Medusa has been lucky to be appointed for the initial Consultancy and design for these five beautiful gardens and terraces to adorn the different levels of the new Aga Khan centre at Kings Cross. We have worked with the Client design team and have completed the selection of materials for the project. We are delighted to announce we have been appointed as Principal Stone Contractor for this part of the project.

Yemen Courtyard Oxcis

The courtyard has designed paving, the central Fountain with Marble pool base and sides with the single piece granite tulip fountain at its centre. The balustrade of Indian sandstone with Jali panels made by Artisans in India. All design, design, other manufacture and installation all by Medusa.

Buckfast Abbey

Medusa worked with the team to create the jointing for the Cosmati paving so all the Botticino semi Classico borders could be cut to fit the tesserae sections. The material was chosen in Italy by Medusa to match the original Comati paving in the Abbey.

Prince of Wales Gardens Oxcis

The gardens with marble fountains, rills and Chaddarhave been under design for some years. Medusa developed the paving designs and material colours for approval by the Client. Materials include granite, sandstone and marble for the fountains and rills with the chaddar being made from four different colours of quartzite.

Fountains Oxcis

The Quadrangle, Turkish and Fellows courtyard fountains have been designed, with the Architects and the Fountain Workshop. Medusa carried out the material selection process, built the 3D models and supplied, manufactured and installed the fountains.

The Great House Mustique & Cascade

We carried out Conservation Consultancy reports for the present house and design for the new water Cascade, for the Architects. A small team visited and carried out works to stabilise parts of the external fabric.
